I would say it depends when you’re going. The French Riviera is lovely, and so is the back country, and as long as you’re not traveling there in August, I would definitely recommend going.
But you are right, there are so many places to see, and if you’re traveling during the high season, I would recommend the Atlantic coast (Biarritz is lovely), or maybe Normandy instead.
Bonjour, you are right, there are many places in France that you must see.But ,if you want to go on the French Riviera do it .You have a lot wonderful things and places to see.Go by T.G.V. from Paris to Marseille, stay 2-3 days(do a trip on the d’If island and chateau, just to remember the comte of Monte Cristo),than go to Cannes,to Nice(a lovely city) and,of course to Monte Carlo(a gorgeous city).
Definitely go to Nice and Cannes, they’re beautiful. If you have a chance, visit Tours! It’s such a quaint little city. The French Riviera is beautiful in most places; like everywhere you go, there are rough patches. And yes, it’s worth it, even if it’s only for half a day!
